Our women's self-defense class is a fun-filled four-hour program dedicated to helping women who do not have the time to study karate for years, to learn how to protect themselves. This course will run for two weeks on Saturdays (two hours each week) and you will work on multiple types of self-defense techniques against various types of attack scenarios.

The class features practical application of defenses on body-like punching bags. We will discuss and point out vital target areas. You will be taught how to attack these areas with power to disable your attacker and escape. You will learn how to use your body's natural weapons and also what environmental weapons may be at your disposal.

Class will begin with light stretching, while discussing the class objective for the morning. A light cardio workout will follow for a few minutes to warm up your muscles, and we will introduce different types of kicks and punches, using knees, elbows, and more during this time. You don't need to throw kicks head high like in the movies.

You don't have to have any previous experience in the martial arts to enjoy this class. You can be any size, shape, or weight. All you need is the motivation to pick up the phone and call, or you can e-mail us and then come in and register. No karate uniform is necessary. Put on your shorts or sweatpants and a T-shirt, and be ready to have fun and learn how to become the victor, not the victim.
