The Dragon's Den has a school policy plan in effect for the benefit of all. These guidelines are to ensure that everyone is treated equally and fairly.
- Students will conduct themselves in a respectful manner. How our students act reflects upon this school and its reputation. Any disrespect brought upon this school, its staff, and students, will be cause for immediate dismissal and will forfeit any dues or tuition paid.
- The school will not tolerate any racial, religious, or gender bias.
- Students will practice proper hygiene.
- Uniforms shall be worn while participating in class. Only Dragon's Den T-shirts may be worn in place of uniform tops. Uniforms and T-shirts shall be kept neat and clean.
- Student tuition must be paid by or before the specified due date. Any student who owes for services will not be allowed to participate in class. Late fees will be applied to all accounts not paid by the due date.
- The skills that you will be taught in American Kenpo Karate shall not be used unless there are no other alternatives. Kenpo can have devastating effects on the human body and should only be used in defense of you and your family's lives.
- Do not practice your skills on family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, or school classmates. Performing these skills in public without proper authorization from the school or your instructor is strictly forbidden. The techniques you learn should only be practiced under proper supervision. If you feel the need to show off your skills, perform them for your instructor! Accidents happen and the last thing you want to do is to hurt the people that you are learning to protect.
- No unauthorized visitors are allowed to watch classes without permission from the school. If a friend is interested in watching, go to the office and ask permission. We want our students' attention to be on our instructors, not on their friends. This is for the safety of all our students.
- We provide an area for parents to watch their child's progress. If you have a large family, please make arrangements for your family for this hour. We have a limited amount of space for parents. Multiple children in the room can be very distracting, impeding the student's ability to learn and comprehend the day's lesson, and this is very unfair to everybody.
- Students and family members who come to the studio should be in good health. Please do not come to class with a cold, flu, or any other type of infectious health concern. Colds and the flu can make everybody miserable. Please have the courtesy of staying home and training some other day for the sake of every student and staff member. Any students who attend class while sick will be asked to leave. This includes family and friends of the student.
- Parents should drop off and pick up their child in a timely fashion. Children can become very anxious if they are left behind for too long. We do not perform babysitting or day care, as we are here to train your children and help teach them to be responsible. Please have the same courtesy for the school and staff.
- Dragon's Den follows the same procedures as the Lynn public school system in the case of weather conditions or any other type of city, state, local, or federal emergencies. If the Lynn public school system is closed for any of the above stated conditions, the Dragon's Den will also be closed and classes will not be held.
